Pikey Peak Homestay
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m).
Arrival in Kathmandu, depending on your flight times. Welcome by your local guide at the airport exit with a sign of the agency and transfer to your hotel.
Briefing and presentation of the course of the stay. In case of arrival in the morning, day of rest or possibility of visiting the tourist district of Thamel, for those who wish, your hotel is in the heart of the tourist city.

Day 2: Departure for Jiri (1955 m).
Early morning departure by public transport to eastern Nepal via the historic Trans-Himalayan Highway. This road crosses the Kathmandu Valley via Banepa and Dhulikhel from where we can enjoy beautiful views of the valley and the Himalayan range. On the way, we cross rice terraces and green hills. After lunch break, continue the journey until we arrive at Jiri, a small town in the region. Arrival and installation.

Day 3: Jiri (1955 m) to Shivalaya (1790 m).
First day of walking. This day will be short for a warm-up, we reach the village of Shivalaya. We start our day with a small climb then a gentle descent along the Khimti Khola river. Arrival and installation in this authentic village lightly frequented by tourists.

Day 4: Shivalaya (1790 m) to Bhandar (2190 m).
Gentle climb towards the village of Deurali where we stop at the belvedere for a tea time in front of the Langtang and Gaurishankar massifs, and the summit of Dudhkunda. Then easy descent towards the village of Bhandar, this beautiful village with its manis walls engraved in stones and its stupa confirms that we have now arrived in Sherpa country. Visit of the village possible at the end of the day.

Day 5: Bhandar (2190 m) to Gumba Danda (2600 m)
Start the day with an easy descent to the banks of the Likhu river. After about an hour of walking we arrive at the village of Thadokoshi accessible by a suspension bridge. From this point we move away from the historic trail that leads to Everest. After a gentle climb through the fields of crops, Arrival at the village of Namkheli then at Gumba Danda. Installation with a Nepalese family for an immersion in the local population.

Day 6: Gumba Danda (2600 m) to Pikey Base Camp (3640 m)
Wake up gently, you have breakfast with your Nepalese family. The day begins with a walk through the forest of rhododendrons (flowering in March-April), pines and firs, during the whole morning to arrive at Nagur 3350m, place of pastures for herds of yaks in summer. After the lunch break, continue the walk to the base camp, starting point of the ascent of the "Pikey Peak".

Day 7: Pikey Base Camp (3640 m) to Pikey Peak (4070 m) to Jasmane Bhanjyang (3520 m)
A beautiful day in perspective, your goal for the day will be to reach the 4000m of Pikey Peak.
Gradual climb for about 1h30 to the summit, a high place of pilgrimage in summer for the local population, famous for its natural incense (sunpati). You will appreciate the panoramic view of the Himalayan range, in front of you stand Annapurna, Manaslu, Everest (8848.62 m), Lhotse (8501m), Makalu (8483m), Nupste (7864m), Ama Dablam (6856m) as well as Thamserku (6608m). Enjoy a few photos to engrave this memorable memory, before starting a long descent towards the village of Jasmane Bhanjyang where we stop for lunch then continue the walk to Lamjura.

Day 8: Jasmane Bhanjyang (3520 m) to Thupten Chöling Monastery (2950 m)
Today we take the historical path of Everest. We start with a small climb to the Lamjura pass 3530m then long descent to the charming Sherpa village of Junbesi where we stop for lunch then easy climb to the impressive monastery of Thupten Chöling Gompa where we will stay 2 nights. This place is very famous for its famous founding master Trulshik Rinpoche reincarnated 32 times and today houses more than 300 "red hat" monks (nyingma current, teaching of the oldest traditions of Tibetan Buddhism). We will visit the main monastery and attend a service. Depending on availability, night at the monastery itself or in a guest house of the monastery.

Day 9: Thupten Chöling Monastery (2920 m)
This day is dedicated to visiting the surroundings of the monastery. It is possible to go to the village of Phungmuche which houses another large monastery, to the traditional Sherpa village of Pankarma or go up to Shengeephuk. For those who wish, it is possible to stay at the monastery all day, to attend activities of the daily life of the monks.

Day 10: : Thupten Chöling Monastery (2920 m) to Khoriya (2350 m)
Today we leave for the village of Khoriya where we spend a night in a Sherpa family. Easy descent towards Beni following the river to reach Phaplu then the town of Salleri, capital of Solukhumbu. Continuation of the walk towards Nayabazar and Dorphu bazar then long descent to the Solukhola river to cross the suspension bridge before gradually going back up to the village of Khoriya mainly inhabited by the Sherpa ethnic group, arrival at the family and installation.

Day 11: Khoriya (2350 m) to Sisa Khola (2100 m)
After breakfast, in the morning visit the village monastery then departure to Sisakhola. On the way we visit the primary school of Khoriya, (closed on Saturdays and public holidays), then walk to several villages of Dinnasa, Bhitta-kharka, Merangding, Ghunsa, then Sisakhola. Arrival and installation at the inhabitant's, night with family.

Day 12: Sisa Khola (2100 m) to Patale (2840 m)
Gentle climb to the Tamang village of Chimding, then we continue the climb to the Sherpa village of Kerung. Visit the school (closed on Saturdays and public holidays) and the monastery of the village then gradually climb to the villages of Lakap then Patale. Arrival and installation at the lodge. Patale, balconies on Everest offer a spectacular view of the peaks.

Day 13: Patale (2840 m) to Kathmandu (1350 m)
Early wake-up, departure from Patale by local jeep to Kathmandu. Descent towards Okhaldhunga by a winding road which dominates the valley then the road runs along the Sunkoshi River for a hundred kilometers with a superb view all along the way. Lunch break on the way then continue to Kathmandu. Installation at Hotel.

Day 14: Departure to Home
