This Langtang and Gosainkunda trek is a little frequented trek in Nepal. During this loop circuit at a moderate altitude and accessible to all good walkers. Come and discover this magnificent trek which will take you on foot to the gates of Kathmandu.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m).

 Arrival in Kathmandu, depending on your flight times. Welcome by your local guide at the airport exit with a sign from the agency and transfer to your hotel.

Briefing and presentation of the course of the stay. In the event of arrival in the morning, day of rest or possibility of visiting the tourist district of the Thamel, for those who wish, your hotel is in the heart of the tourist city.

Day 2: Kathmandu (1350 m) to Syabrubesi (1460 m)

Early departure, road to Syabrubesi which is located 150 km north of Kathmandu. The road winds along the valley, we discover the terraced rice and millet crops. Arrival in Trisuli for lunch then climb to the city of Dhunche, capital of the region then descends to Syabrubesi, our arrival point.

Day 3: Syabrubesi (1460 m) to Lama Hotel (2470 m)

On the first day of walking, we follow the Langtang Khola River and can admire the torrents then we climb stone stairs in the middle of a vegetation of pines and ferns. We pass by several suspension bridges and admire the waterfalls including that of Dovan (1672m). Arrival at destination at Lama Hotel.

Day 4: Lama Hotel (2470 m) to Mundu (3540 m)

Easy climb in the forest of hemlocks, oaks, maples, white and pink Rhododendrons (during the flowering season). We arrive at the entrance to the Langtang National Park, we continue the walk to the village of Ghoda Tabela at 2,970m. After lunch, easy climb to reach the village of Langtang destroyed by the 2015 earthquake, we continue our walk to Mundu, the end point of our day.

Day 5: Mundu (3540 m) to Kyanjin Gumba (3870 m)

A short day of walking that starts with a gentle and steady climb to admire the high mountains, the Ganchempo peak at 6387m and the Langtang Lirung at 7227m. Arrival in Kyanjin, the last village of Langtang for lunch. In the afternoon climb to the summit of Kyanjin Ri at 4773m which offers an unmissable view of the glaciers of the upper valley and the surrounding peaks at over 7000m altitude. You will be in the heart of the Himalayas, at the highest point of your trek in the Langtang region. Around us stand the most beautiful and highest peaks in the north.

After a few photos to engrave this memorable memory, long descent to the lodge for those who do not wish to climb to the summit, in the afternoon, visit the village, the cheese factory and walk in the surrounding area.

Day 6: Kyanjin Gumba (3870 M) to Lama Hotel (2470 m)

Lunch then descent to the Lama hotel by the same path.

Day 7: Lama Hotel (2470 m) to Thulo Syabru (2250 m)

Today we descend in the morning by the same path, we progress towards Bambu Village then we go back up to the village of Thulo Syabru. In the afternoon we take advantage of this important village to discover the local way of life of its inhabitants. The Tamang ethnic group originally from Tibet populates this village.

Day 8: Thulo Syabru (2250 M) to Shin Gumba (3300 m)

From Thulo Syabru, we climb gently towards the village of Shin Gumba, for about 6 hours of walking. We cross immense forests of Rhododendrons and pines. Rest on arrival at Shin Gumba.

Day 9: Shin Gumba (3300 M) to Gosainkunda (4380 M)

Gradual climb to Gosainkunda. On the way, magnificent views of the Mt. Annapurna and Manaslu ranges. We continue to a small pass before arriving at Gosainkunda, a pilgrimage site famous for its superb sacred lakes and a pilgrimage site in summer for Hindu and Buddhist populations. Short walks around the blue lake.

Day 10: Gosainkunda (4380 M) to Ghopte (3430 M)

Early departure, today we pass the Laurebina pass at 4,610m which offers a superb panorama of the Annapurna range and its peaks such as Ganesh Himal, Langtang and Manaslu. After crossing the pass, long descent to Ghopte, place of pastures and arrival point of this day.

Day 11: Ghopte (3430 M) to Kutumsang (2470 M)

Trek to Tharepati then Kutumsang.

Day 12: Kutumsang (2470 m) to Chisopani (2215 m)

Gradually climb to the village of Gol bhanjyang, descent to Chipling and then climb back up to the village of Chisopani, from where we can enjoy a superb view of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Kanchanjunga, Dorjee Lakpa and  Numbur. Very beautiful views of the surrounding valleys during this day of walking.

Day 13: Chisopani (2215 m) to Kathmandu (1350 m)

We start our day in the Shivapuri National Park. After crossing several small villages, we arrive at Sundarijal, the end point of our trek. We will take the road to Kathmandu. Journey of about 1h30 to arrive at your hotel, installation then free time.

Day 14: Free Day in Kathmandu

Free day to discover Kathmandu and can serve as a safety day in case of hazards on the Jomsom/Kathmandu flight.

What to do around your hotel if your day is free?

1: If time permits, possibility of visiting the Swayambhu Nath stupa (Monkey Temple) located about 45 minutes’ walk from your hotel. The Swayambhu Nath stupa is one of the most beautiful treasures of Kathmandu. Located at the top of a hill, with a staircase of 365 steps will reward you with a breathtaking view of Kathmandu and its valley.

2: Durbar Square, located south of Thamel. A perfect place to make interesting visits. The square is filled with old buildings and temples very characteristic of Nepalese architecture. The approximately 50 temples, palaces, pagodas, courtyards and streets date from the 12th to the 18th century.

3: Pashupatinath Temple. Located near your hotel, 5 km west of Kathmandu, Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred Hindu temples in Nepal. The temple and its surroundings are part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Day 15: Departure for Home

As per schedule, return flight to your destination. Your guide will take you to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu for your departure.
