The Manaslu tour takes place in a region that is still little traveled, and at the start of the trek, it presents itself through rice terraces, bamboo and rhododendron forests as well as numerous waterfalls. Meetings with Tibetan and Nepalese populations in their typical villages and monasteries will enchant you. The discovery of Buddhist culture with its flags fluttering in the wind, engraved stones and prayer wheels, herds of yaks, glaciers and peaks culminating at more than 8000m.

The Manaslu Tour
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m).
Arrival in Kathmandu, depending on your flight times. Welcome by your local guide at the airport exit with a sign from the agency and transfer to your hotel.
Briefing and presentation of the course of the stay. In the event of arrival in the morning, day of rest or possibility of visiting the tourist district of the Thamel, for those who wish, your hotel is in the heart of the tourist city.

Day 2: Kathmandu (1350 m) to Barpak (1950 m)
Your first day of adventure. Departure to Gorkha by private vehicle transport 145 km by road, then, the track of about 60 km by local jeep or bus will take you to Barpak. Pleasant journey with magnificent landscapes and views of the high peaks. You cross typical villages and rice fields of mid-mountain. This day will be full of discoveries.

Day 3: Barpak (1950 m) to Laprak (2100 m)
You will start your day with a climb to reach Pushu Danda, located at an altitude of 2800m, then you descend towards the Gurung village of Laprak where you will spend the night with a Gurung family.

Day 4: Laprak (2100 m) to Singla to Khorla Besi (970 m)
After a good breakfast with a Nepalese family, you will start your day with a short descent to the Machha Khola River. Then, you gradually go back up on a balcony path, towards Singla, from where, on a clear day, there is a superb view of the peaks. Then, a long descent to Khorla Bensi where we pick up the classic trail of the Manaslu tour.

Day 5: Khorla Besi (970 m) to Jagat (1340 m) to Salleri (1345 m)
Easy climb to the village of Tatopani, a village with hot springs. Then the trail winds along the Budi Gandaki gorge. After Doban, you will cross a suspension bridge and follow the river on a narrow path. A long climb takes you to Jagat through a sandy plain. Here is the entrance to the Manaslu National Park. Continue to Salleri (1345m), where we settle for the night.

Day 6: Salleri (1345 m) to Deng (1860 m)
Today, early morning wake-up: you enter Buddhist land with chortens and prayer walls. Easy walk to the village of Philin, then gradual climb to the suspension bridge where you cross the path leading to the Tsum valley. One last climb and you reach the Tibetan village of Dyang.

Day 7: Deng (1860 m) to Namrung (2630 m)
Today you walk in a valley with many climbs and descents. You will follow several chortens and prayer walls that will lead you to the small Tibetan village of Namrung located in a forest of pines and firs.

Day 8: Namrung (2630 m) to Shyala (3480 m)
You start the morning with an easy descent and a gradual climb up to Lihi. Here, you will find a magnificent chorten erected in the center of the village. Then, you will continue the path to Shyala from where you can see the famous Manaslu and other surrounding peaks.

Day 9: Shyala (3480 m) to Pung Gyen Gompa to Samagaun (3520 m)
We leave the classic trail to go to the monastery of Pung Gyen, located at the foot of the 8000 m of Manaslu. A high mountain environment, grandiose a few steps from the gigantic glaciers with a panoramic view of the summit of Manaslu. One of the most beautiful days of the trip. In the afternoon descent to the Tibetan village Samagaun.

Day 10: Samagaun (3520 m) to Lake Birendra to Samdo (3875 m)
Head towards Birendra Lake (3560m), a glacial lake located at the foot of Manaslu and if the weather condition is good, continue your walk on the trail that leads to the Manaslu base camp.
Return to the lodge, lunch then easy and short walk to Samdo, the last village near the Tibetan border. The highest of the villages around the Manaslu massif. In the afternoon, rest for all.

Day 11: Samdo (3875 m) to Larkya Phedi (4460 m)
After a quiet awakening, we gradually climb to the foot of the Larkya Pass. Here, you enjoy the high mountain atmosphere with its pastures and to your left, the Manaslu massif and its glaciers.
NB: At the foot of the Larkya Pass There is accommodation in a lodge or in a fixed tent, with basic comfort!

Day 12: Larkya Phedi (4460 m) to Larkya La Pass (5106 m) to Bhimtang (3590 m)
The goal of this day will be to cross the 5,106 m of the Larkya pass there. So, get up very early, have breakfast then climb gently on the stony moraines. You will reach the pass by a long walk without difficulty. Arriving at the Larkya pass there, the spectacle is magnificent. Here, you are in the heart of the Himalayas. A short break will allow you to take some photos and videos before a long descent to Bhimtang.
Nb: The passage of the pass is sometimes snowy. Depending on the weather conditions, the other side, in the shade, can be slippery.

Day 13: Bhimtang (3590 m) to Dharapani (1963 m)
Last day of walking: during this stage, view of the Mansalu massifs north face, Ngadi, Himalchuli, Punghi, Kampung Himal and Feri Himal. A short lunch break and then you continue the hike towards Tilje to finish at Dharapani, junction with the great Annapurna tour trek. End of Manaslu trek here.

Day 14: Dharapani (1963 m) to Besisahar to Kathmandu (1350 m)
We leave the mountain, its villages and its welcoming populations to return to Kathmandu. Jeep or local bus to go to Besi Sahar by a track, then road to reach the capital by private vehicle.

Day 15: A Day in Kathmandu
What to do around your hotel if your day is free?
1: If time permits, possibility of visiting the Swayambhunath stupa (Monkey Temple) located about 45 minutes’ walk from your hotel. The Swayambhunath stupa is one of the most beautiful treasures of Kathmandu. Located on top of a hill, with a staircase of 365 steps, will reward you with a breathtaking view of Kathmandu and its valley.
2: Durbar Square, located south of the Thamel. A perfect place to make interesting visits. The square is filled with old buildings and temples very characteristic of Nepalese architecture. The approximately 50 temples, palaces, pagodas, courtyards and streets date from the 12th to the 18th century.
3: Pashupatinath Temple. Located near your hotel, 5 km west of Kathmandu, Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred Hindu temples in Nepal. The temple and its surroundings are part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.
